About The Role

We are looking for a Procurement Assistant to join our team to assist with vendor life cycle, onboarding, contracting, performance monitoring, relationship building and contract renewals.

Additional responsibilities include the following

  • Work closely with the projects team to understand details of strategic procurement requirements including sourcing, pre-qualification, etc.
  • Initiate and renew contracts including framework agreements, service line agreements, etc., negotiate pricing, terms, and provisions
  • Engage, educate, and influence indirect and direct vendors to align to GHDs Environmental, Sustainable and Governance (ESG) commitments
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with internal and external partners
  • Measure and monitor vendor performance and compliance with agreements, contracts, conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews and provide feedback to team on gaps, and business opportunities
  • Build industry, vendor, category, business unit, etc. specific reports, analyze data, and report on gaps and opportunities to the team including vendor segmentation
  • Assist in growing GHD’s supplier diversity program
  • Perform all responsibilities within GHD Procurement Guidelines and ensure relevant processes and procedures are followed

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 2+ years of strategic procurement experience including data analysis, sourcing, vendor management, and contract management
  • High proficiency with data management and analysis tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel (intermediate to expert)
  • Strong communication skills and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation
  • English Proficiency
  • Previous experience with Salesforce is considered an asset
  • Degree or certification in business administration, procurement, finance, or related field preferred
