Senior Accounting Clerk - Health

About The Role
Job Purpose or Objective(s): Responsible for performing moderately complex accounting tasks in support of the Department. This role ensures accuracy, integrity, and timely processing of financial transactions and records.
Full Time | Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Pay: $21.76/hr
Primary Tasks
- You will input and process general ledger journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
- Archive accounting documents, including journal entries, invoices, and bank reconciliations, in accordance with internal policies and audit requirements.
- You will review and process invoices and payment requests, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
- Compile data and prepare financial summaries, reports, charts, and graphs for internal use and management review.
- You will research and resolve moderately complex accounting discrepancies or issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions or conversions)
- Excellent oral or written communication skills
- Proficient use of Ten Key (by touch)
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- 2 years of directly related experience or education
