About The Role

This opportunity is an onsite, full-time role with opportunities for overtime.

The Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing small cap facility-based projects in an active chemical manufacturing plant. The role involves meeting or exceeding the company’s safety standards, complying with all company procedures and engineering practices, and working closely with project team members to achieve project success.
**Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required. There is no paid relocation offered for this position.

Key responsibilities
- Meet or exceed the company’s safety standards
- Take reasonable care of your own health & safety and others you may impact
- Set the standard for safety for contractor and Subcontractor Project Resources
- Meet company requirements for review of company safety communications
- Apply process safety requirements as an integral part of daily work
- Identify opportunities to improve HSE and specify for process owners
- General
- Holds responsibility for execution of projects from Scope development through Close out
- Is responsible for applying sound engineering practices
- Provide documentation as needed for each assigned project
- Provides guidance to the project team to successfully accomplish the scope of work
- Project Updates
- Meetings as required to keep process owners informed about progress
- Communications to update stakeholders on progress and project health
- Project Execution
- Scope Development
- Translate Process Letters and stakeholders to create defined project scopes
- Develop project execution plans and schedules
- Determine what resources are needed for project execution
- Financial
- Cost Estimating for projects from Pre-Engineering through Full Funding
- Responsible for creating Appropriations Requests and following through approvals
- Execution
- Maintains and tracks scope, schedule, cost, and quality trends throughout the project
- Responsible for Cost and Change Management
- Maintain proper communication with process owners about changes
- Obtain Approvals for spending related to changes during execution
- Responsible for Project completion including quality of deliverables
- Closeout
- Provide documentation for equipment installed on projects for SAP and File Room
- Issue completion notices on time to maintain compliance

Expected
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering. Mechanical is desired
- Experience working in a chemical manufacturing facility may be accepted in lieu of education
- 5-10 years of Industrial Experience working as a project engineer or project manager
- Ability to quickly comprehend the scope of work for a project
- A proactive approach to solving problems and getting the job done
- Work Environment
- Pass a DISA Background check and Drug Screen
- Able to wear required PPE
- Operate Vehicles safely to & from jobsites
- Climb Ladders and Stairs
- Proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proficiency in SAP is a plus
