Quality Inspector

About The Role
The quality inspector is responsible for performing in-process and final quality inspections on plastic protectors and various plastic products to ensure compliance with specifications. Verifies product packaging and labeling accuracy while maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect products and report anomalies according to product Specifications & Instructions (S/I) and engineering drawings; verify production raw materials.
- Verify product labels for accuracy and confirm correct quantities.
- Identify non-conforming products and issue Hold Notices as required.
- Enter (scan) production / scrap product data accurately into the ERP system.
- Inspect products for sorting, rework, or Return Material Authorization (RMA).
- Ensure non-conforming products are properly identified and quarantined from acceptable product.
- Perform Press Line, CNC, and Laboratory inspections as assigned by Supervisor.
- Test and inspect multiple parts efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare new gauges against S&I by pulling from inventory and storing appropriately after use.
- Maintain accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
- Communicate quality discrepancies promptly to the Production Supervisor or designated personnel.
- Monitor inventory levels on press lines and in pre-stage areas.
- Work closely with material handlers to maintain safe walking paths and minimize traffic obstructions (pallets, boxes, etc.).
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and peers via email and face-to-face interactions.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with company policy.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or designee.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or related industrial environment preferred.
- Basic knowledge of quality control principles and non-conformance processes.
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP systems or data entry.
- Ability to accurately complete documentation and maintain detailed records.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and inconsistencies.
