About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Leader / PMO Facilities to join our organization in Santa Fe, Mexico. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of facilities-related projects while establishing and maintaining a robust Project Management Office (PMO) function. You will serve as a strategic leader responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project portfolios, and ensuring operational excellence across all facilities initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management expertise with facilities operations knowledge to drive organizational success and continuous improvement.

  • Lead and oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of facilities projects from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines
  • Establish, develop, and manage the PMO function, including standardizing project management processes, methodologies, and best practices across the organization
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, scope statements, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
  • Monitor project performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular status reports and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and analyze variances to ensure cost control and financial accountability
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed
  • Coordinate and lead project teams, including internal staff and external vendors, fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Conduct stakeholder management and communication, ensuring transparency and alignment across all project phases
  • Analyze facilities operations data and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements related to facilities management
  • Mentor and develop project management team members, promoting professional growth and skill development
  • Facilitate lessons learned sessions and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on project outcomes
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a PMO or project leadership capacity
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid approaches)
  • Demonstrated expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Proficiency with project management software tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities with capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both Spanish and English
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams
  • Experience with risk management and stakeholder engagement

 

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMO certification
  • Experience with facilities management
  • Background in budget forecasting and financial analysis
  • Experience implementing process improvement methodologies 
  • Experience working in matrix organizational structures
