About The Role

Position Highlights

  • Position : Unit Secretary - Medical ICU
  • Location: Glenbrook, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 36 hours/week
  • Hours : 7am-7:30pm (Day shift), Rotating weekends
  • Required Travel: No

What you will do

  • Coordinate non-clinical duties by facilitating the multiple unit activities that affect patient flow and organization.
  • Responsible for accurate entry of charge information, timely notification of patient movement information to admitting and transport.
  • Orders and maintains supplies.
  • This position is highly visible with significant interaction between patients, families, nurses, physicians, other departments, support personnel and visitors.
  • Proactively identifies the need for service recovery and notifies Concierge Services (non-clinical) and Unit Manager (Clinical) as appropriate, to initiate tracking and resolution.

What you will need

  • Education : High School Graduate with a minimum 2 years of work experience required.
  • Experience: One year of college with one year of work experience preferred.
