About The Role
Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking a Client and Matter Analyst.
This position is located in Philadelphia and a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule is available.
Responsibilities include
- Maintenance of the Elite 3E and iManage Conflicts database as it pertains to client and matter data.
- Performs conflict analysis on proposed client or matter party updates and facilitate proper communication and coordination of identified issues.
- Proactively communicates with firm attorneys and support staff to understand conflicts of interest issues and independently reviews, researches, and resolves conflicts issues.
- Composes written and verbal correspondence with attorneys and other support staff.
- Answers email inquiries for status requests.
- Performs research, locating material from various sources inside and outside the firm.
- Processes a wide variety of conflicts database change requests.
- Ensures compliance with ethics related to firm policies and procedures.
- Monitors and assists with data entry tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
Experience and Qualifications
- Associate degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience required. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Legal experience, particularly in conflicts, is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a busy, fast-paced professional environment.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and oral communication skills are required.
- Creative and analytical thinking.
- Strong client service mentality.
- Ability to concentrate clearly on highly detailed information, to identify conflicts of interest questions and resolve them in a consensus environment and to keep confidential information regarding firm matters.
- Ability to exercise the appropriate amount of discretion in escalating and communicating issues.
- Excellent project management and research skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite required.
