About The Role
Key Responsibilities
License Verification
- Review and verify state-issued licenses and credentials of new and existing clinicians using relevant state boards.
- Ensure all professionals meet the requirements to accept referrals in their licensed states.
Data Entry and Documentation
- Accurately document verification outcomes and maintain records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Update clinician profiles to reflect verified status promptly.
Compliance Oversight
- Monitor and report any discrepancies or unethical conduct in user profiles.
- Support clinicians by clarifying licensing requirements and standards.
Communication and Support
- Collaborate with the clinical team to resolve any verification issues.
- Provide courteous, professional support to clinicians throughout the verification process.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Previous experience in credentialing, compliance, or related roles (preferred in healthcare or behavioral health).
- Knowledge of state licensing requirements for behavioral health professionals (e.g., social workers, counselors, psychologists).
Skills
- Review and interpret licensing regulations, statutes, and guidance documents to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Strong proficiency in online research and information retrieval; familiarity with advanced search techniques is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database management systems.
