We are looking for a Process Developer to join our team. If you enjoy hands-on work in food innovation and want to help bring new products from the laboratory to production, this is a great opportunity to grow your technical skills. As a Process Developer, you will support the development of new food color products, work with laboratory and pilot plant equipment, and collaborate with technical teams to deliver innovative solutions for customers around the world. This role is based in Saint Louis and includes domestic and international travel to support production trials at partner facilities, with some trips lasting several days or weeks.

What you'll do

  • Support the development, testing, and scale up of new food color products and manufacturing processes.
  • Operate laboratory and pilot plant equipment while evaluating raw materials, product performance, and process improvements.
  • Assist with production trials at partner facilities by collecting data, documenting results, and collaborating with technical teams.
  • Maintain accurate operating procedures, quality records, and documentation that meet regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Work with scientists, production teams, and external partners to transfer new technologies into manufacturing.

What you'll bring

  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry, food science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, research, or product development environment.
  • Hands-on experience with precision fermentation and downstream processing , including experience developing, optimizing, or scaling downstream processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing environments.
  • Flexibility to travel for domestic and international production trials, including extended trips when needed.
