Manager, Pricing & Deal Management

Mastercard is looking for a commercially minded finance professional to join our Southeast Asia Business Development Finance team. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy and business development, helping shape high-value agreements with banks and financial institutions across the region. Working closely with country business teams, you will evaluate commercial opportunities, develop financial models, assess risk and return, and design innovative deal structures that support profitable growth. You will play a key role in balancing commercial competitiveness with strong financial outcomes, while partnering with senior stakeholders across finance, legal and business teams. This is a highly visible role offering exposure to complex, multi-market deals and meaningful impact on Mastercard's growth strategy.

Role

  • Partner with business development, account management teams across Southeast Asia to evaluate customer opportunities and develop commercially sound deal structures.
  • Perform detailed financial modelling, scenario analysis and investment assessments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assess the economic impact of customer agreements and recommend structures that optimise growth while protecting profitability.
  • Challenge assumptions, identify risks and provide recommendations that improve commercial outcomes and long-term value creation.
  • Prepare and present business cases for review and approval by senior finance and business stakeholders.
  • Work closely with legal teams to ensure commercial agreements accurately reflect approved financial structures and customer commitments.
  • Support commercial negotiations by providing financial insights, alternative scenarios and pricing recommendations.
  • Monitor market trends, customer strategies and competitive dynamics to inform pricing and investment decisions.
  • Build strong partnerships across finance, legal and business teams to drive alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of deal management, pricing and commercial governance practices across the region.

All About You

  • Significant experience in commercial finance, pricing, deal structuring, business development finance or a related discipline.
  • Strong financial modelling skills, including experience evaluating complex commercial opportunities using tools such as ROI, NPV, DCF and scenario analysis.
  • Experience assessing risk versus return and translating financial analysis into practical commercial recommendations.
  • Proven ability to structure, evaluate or negotiate high-value customer agreements and business cases.
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting or supporting commercial agreements and ensuring alignment between contractual terms and approved business cases.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, incentive structures and profitability drivers within a customer-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions and improve commercial outcomes through data-driven insights.
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders including commercial, finance and legal teams in a matrix organisation across multiple markets.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with the ability to connect market dynamics, customer needs and business objectives.
  • Understanding of forecasting, budgeting and business planning processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, taxation or governance considerations that impact commercial agreements is advantageous.
  • Payments, banking, financial services, technology or other complex B2B industries would be highly valued.
  • Professional accounting or finance qualifications (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) are preferred.
