About The Role
We're looking for a hands-on UX Engineer (Individual Contributor) to join our growing Product and Engineering organization as a core member of an Agile team. This role sits directly at the intersection of user experience design and front-end engineering, enabling you to actively plan, scope, and implement features, taking ideas from research and wireframes all the way through to polished, production-ready code.
You’ll work side-by-side with Product Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers, and key stakeholders in iterative sprints to deliver intuitive, accessible, and high-performance experiences across our SaaS platform. Beyond feature delivery, you will help establish design system standards, build reusable UI component libraries, and ensure our products maintain a consistent, modern experience, all while embracing AI-powered development tools and design workflows.

What you will do
- Design intuitive, user- centred experiences for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into elegant solutions.
- Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, mock-ups, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Build and maintain reusable front-end components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and consistently.
- Contribute to and maintain our design system and component library.
- Champion accessibility, usability, responsive design, and inclusive design best practices.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyse customer feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
- Work with AI-assisted design and development tools to improve productivity and accelerate design iteration.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Stay current with UX trends, emerging technologies, and front-end best practices.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in UX Engineering, Front-End Development, Product Design, or a similar role.
- Experience designing and building modern web applications.
- Strong knowledge of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs using Figma (preferred) or similar design tools.
- Strong front-end development experience using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of responsive design, and modern UI frameworks.
- Experience working with component-based design systems.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams.
- Strong communication , presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- A portfolio demonstrating UX design and front-end implementation work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Digital Design, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working on SaaS products.
- Experience with React Native or mobile-first design.
- Experience using design systems such as Material Design or custom enterprise design systems.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude Design, Copilot, Figma AI , or similar technologies to accelerate design and development.
- Understanding of design tokens, accessibility testing, and front-end performance optimisation .
