Job Summary

  • As the RN, First Assistant, you assist surgeons in general and specialized surgeries.
  • You will prepare patients for surgery and monitor patients after surgery for pain and/or complications.
  • In this role, you act as a resource to members of the specialty team to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care .

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have successfully completed a course in preparing the registered nurse as a first assistant in surgery
  • Must be able to differentiate colors
  • 2 years of intraoperative clinical experience
  • R equires current licensure in the State of Ohio to practice professional nursing
  • Current specialty certification required (CNOR) issued by the Certification Board Perioperative Nursing (CBPN )
  • BLS

  • Bachelor’s d egree
