About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our APAC organization, with a primary focus on partnering with leaders and employees in Malaysia and across the wider region.
This role will act as a strategic and trusted HR advisor to business leaders, translating business priorities into effective people strategies. The HRBP will partner closely with leaders on organizational effectiveness, talent management, employee engagement, performance, workforce planning, employee relations, and change management.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a dynamic, international environment and working across multiple APAC markets, cultures, and business functions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Partner with business leaders and managers across APAC to understand business priorities and translate them into people strategies.
- Provide proactive HR guidance and challenge leaders to make effective, people-focused decisions.
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, restructuring, and other business transformation initiatives.
- Use people data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
Talent & Performance Management
- Partner with leaders on talent identification, succession planning, career development, and retention of key talent.
- Drive effective performance management practices and support managers through performance-related matters.
- Support annual talent, compensation, and performance cycles.
- Identify capability gaps and work with relevant stakeholders to address learning and development needs.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices.
- Partner with managers to resolve workplace issues and manage sensitive employee situations.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and help build a strong culture across APAC.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related matters.
Change Management
- Support regional and global organizational change initiatives, including communications, implementation, and stakeholder management.
- Help leaders navigate organizational change while maintaining employee engagement and business continuity.
- Partner with global HR teams to ensure consistent implementation of people programs across APAC.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Work closely with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and other COEs to deliver an effective employee experience.
- Ensure HR policies and practices are aligned with local employment legislation and company standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Malaysian employment practices, with the ability to support HR matters across other APAC markets.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and standardization of HR processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 6–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant experience in an HR Business Partner or similar role.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and people managers in a multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation in Malaysia.
- Experience working across APAC markets is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience across employee relations, performance management, talent management, organizational development, and change management.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining comfortable managing hands-on HR matters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to use people data to inform decisions.
- Experience working in a matrixed, global organization is preferred.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
