5+ years of hands-on experience in SQL development, database programming, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
Build scalable and efficient database solutions with a strong focus on performance.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize slow-running queries and database workloads.
Design and implement database schemas that support evolving business requirements.
Develop ETL/data processing routines and automate database operations where appropriate.
Collaborate with application developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust database solutions.
Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and privacy best practices are followed.
Review, refactor, and improve existing SQL code for maintainability and efficiency.
Participate in technical discussions, contribute ideas, and evaluate alternative approaches to solving problems.
Stay current with emerging database technologies and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Required Skills

5+ years of SQL development experience
Strong expertise in:
SQL
PL/SQL
Python for scripting, automation, or data processing
PostgreSQL database
Database Schema Design
Query Optimization
Database Performance Tuning
Data Processing
Experience troubleshooting production database issues.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS).
Exposure to cloud database platforms.
Experience with CI/CD for database deployments.
Version control (Git).
