BASIC PURPOSE

Defines, creates, and maintains automated test scripts for quality assurance testing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Designs, implements, and maintains automated test scripts, strategies, and test plans for regression and environment testing.
  • Develops custom function/sub-routine libraries to support automated testing solutions.
  • Develops complex SQL queries to create backend test scripts.
  • Develops, enhances, and documents automated enterprise testing methodology. Designs a solid automation framework where test scripts are reusable and easily maintained.
  • Experience accessing data from external sources, like Excel, for Data Driven Testing.
  • Review and improves testing process and implementation. Assists in estimating testing efforts and providing status updates.
  • Build and maintain reusable test data sets
  • Mentors team in automation best practices and assists manual testers with running automated tests as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Ability to write and execute manual quality assurance test cases is required.
  • Actively participate in story refinement for comprehensive test case development.
  • Ability to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Develop and execute in-sprint automation for component, integration and end-to-end testing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software development processes, and ability to apply critical thinking and investigation skills to identify root causes of software and system problems.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems, and a minimum of 4-years functional automation experience with test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG using Java and Playwright using JavaScript/typescript or the equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary.
  • Experience using Maven, Eclipse, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Node, Vscode, and JIRA.
  • Four to six years’ experience working on a quality assurance team.
  • Four to six years’ experience using Selenium, SQL and Java.
  • And/or two to three years’ experience using Playwright, JavaScript/typescript.
  • Work Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Atlanta, GA office. This position may not be filled in New Jersey, either in-person or remotely.
  • Work Schedule: Onsite with an opportunity to work remote partially.
