Job Description

Position Responsibilities

  • Curriculum development, revision, and review
  • Program planning
  • Course development, classroom/clinical instruction, and assessment of students
  • CoARC Accreditation compliance
  • Student advising and evaluation
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the community
  • Participate in department meetings, program advisory committee meetings, and college-wide events
  • Promote and recruit for program within and outside of the College
  • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural competency

Salary Range

Please note that the full salary range for a nine-month, academic year appointment is $43,067 - $94,542; initial salary placement for new Minnesota State College faculty is between $43,067 and $71,893 plus a 3% wage differential, depending on academic credentials and years of creditable professional experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree.
  • Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a medical laboratory technologist/scientist.
  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
  • Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist certification by one of the following: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), AAB Board of Registry (ABOR), or American Medical Technologists (AMT).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting diverse communities
  • Experience teaching at a 2 year college
