GCS is seeking a graduate student for a summer internship within the Strategy & Transformation team supporting the Global & US Large Enterprises team (G&L).The Global & US Large Enterprises team (G&L), offers industry-leading T&E program management, including corporate travel cards and central billing solutions, as well as a growing set of business-to-business payment solutions that help clients improve process control, manage cash flow, and generate value from accounts payable.
How will you make an impact in this role?
As a Strategy & Transformation Intern you will own a strategic project tied to the long-term growth priorities of the G&L Client Management and Sales organizations. Working within the Strategy & Transformation team, the intern will help identify client and colleague needs, shape actionable strategies, and align cross-functional partners around execution.
Responsibilities can include
- Own a strategic project from definition through final recommendation.
- Partner with senior leaders and key stakeholders to clarify priorities, objectives, and execution plans.
- Collaborate as needed across Client Management, Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, Technology, Pricing, Legal, and Compliance.
- Assess business needs using client insights, colleague feedback, market trends, analytics, and financial data.
- Translate complex information into clear, data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Develop executive-ready presentations and communicate findings to senior audiences.
- Build and maintain project plans, milestones, decision points, and stakeholder communications.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen business outcomes
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in full-time graduate degree program.
- Graduate degree candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- 3 plus years of prior full-time work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in commercial payments, business strategy, transformation, or project management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to learn about the evolving payments landscape and emerging technologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships across teams, levels, and geographies.
- Strong project management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Clear and concise written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working through ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver independently.
- Confidence challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required, familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT recommended.
