Financial Crimes Compliance – Data Governance Intern

Internship Period: 11 January 2027 – 30 June 2027

Job Description

  • Support in Data Governance BAU activities applicable for the APAC region. Execute tasks related to Data Governance controls such as Change Management, Periodic Assessments, Data Quality Monitoring, review KDE, DD, DS etc.
  • Organize regional and branch working groups, prepare material, and socialize.
  • Execute DQM daily BAU operation. Analyse weekly/monthly Data Quality (DQ) error reports and categorise DQ errors across different branches within Asia region
  • Understand Data Dictionary, Key Data Elements, Data Lineage, Data Quality business rules to support in ongoing data related projects
  • Provide support in creation of monthly and weekly reports/ status updates for regional and global forums on Data governance.
  • Participate in AI-related initiatives (e.g. MS Copilot, Power Platform) and provide support in relevant tasks (e.g. reporting, UAT)
  • Apply basic prompt engineering techniques to get reliable results from AI Tools.
  • Assist in designing simple Power Apps.
  • Help document AI/automation use cases, processes, test results, and outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are crucial for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Knowledge in Data analytics tools (e.g. Alteryx / hands-on Python/R) and AI tools (e.g. MS Copilot, ChatGPT) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of prompt engineering.
  • Basic exposure to Power Apps or Power Automate is preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours from time to time due to time zone differences
  • Well organised and disciplined in maintaining operations documentation.
  • Willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time
