What You Will Do

  • Responsible for carrying out engineering tasks for sensor components in the Supplier Design Equipment team.
  • This role will work directly with specific suppliers, customers and functional groups within Collins and require the Project Engineer to carry out design tasks, field or production engine / component investigations, supplier production investigations and various other activities based on engineering standard work.

What You Will Learn

  • You will learn and build a solid foundation of skillsets that include communication, presentations, engineering standard work activities related to re-designs/design reviews, use of Fault Tree Analysis tools to carry our Relentless Root Cause Analysis, assembling detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, and time management of engineering tasks to ensure the project maintains on-time delivery to critical customer / program milestones.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Word)
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Ability to understand Engineering Drawings
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Proficient organizational skills

  • Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
