This requisition is for an RTX intern converting to FT hire upon graduation.

What You Will Do

  • Support requirements capture for CH-47F cockpit avionics for the IBC programs.
  • Decompose and allocate requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace.
  • Support cross-functional team development with both external customer stakeholders and internal software and hardware engineering teams.
  • On-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases)

  • The full experience of systems engineering activities from initial requirements capture all the way to supporting fielded products
  • How to be successful in an agile development environment
  • Effective use of systems engineering tools such as DOORs, JIRA, JAMA, and the ALM tools suite

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) major obtained by start date

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Basic experience working within an aerospace related engineering development environment.
  • A basic understanding of general design or engineering change processes to successfully create, integrate, test, and deliver features in an engineering or technology environment.
  • A collaborative attitude, accountability for actions taken, execution to plan, and a self-motivation that produces superior results.
  • Experience with Agile development

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
