This is an exciting opportunity to lead our restaurant, bar, and in-room dining operations while developing your career within a luxury hotel environment.
Your day to day
- Lead and support the Food & Beverage team to deliver exceptional guest experiences across all outlets
- Supervise daily operations of the restaurant, bar, in-room dining, and events service areas
- Ensure service standards, food quality, and presentation consistently meet InterContinental brand expectations
- Conduct team briefings, allocate duties, and provide on-shift coaching and support
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly resolve feedback and service recovery opportunities
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development of Food & Beverage colleagues
- Drive sales through menu knowledge, upselling, and promotional activities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, grooming, and workplace presentation
- Support rostering, labour management, and departmental productivity goals
- Monitor stock levels, ordering, stock rotation, and inventory control procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety, liquor licensing, and workplace health and safety requirements
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and hotel teams to deliver seamless service
- Assist the Restaurant Manager with achieving departmental revenue and performance targets
- Complete administrative and operational tasks required to support the department's success
What we need from you
- Previous experience in a Food & Beverage supervisory or leadership role within a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and leading teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and professional approach
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage service standards and operations
- Experience handling guest concerns and resolving issues effectively
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- You must meet the legal requirements to live and work in Australia
