Position Summary

  • Leads and conducts research on cellulose modification.
  • Interpret magnetic and spectroscopic data.
  • Focus research on the use of antibacterial cellulose.
  • Report writing and presentations.
  • Monitor the progress of graduate students in the lab.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • Strong analytic skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstration of leadership.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Must be a self-motivated worker who can work both autonomously and in group settings in a complex, changing, and deadline-oriented environment.

Experience and Education

  • PhD in chemistry with 5 years+ postdoctoral/research experience after receiving PhD degree.
