What’s the role?

The way people work has changed. The way workplaces are designed should too.

As Chief Product Owner, Workplace Service Design, you'll shape how thousands of Westpac employees experience work every day. From physical workplaces and hybrid environments to collaboration experiences, technology enablement and employee journeys, you'll reimagine how work gets done across one of Australia's largest and most complex organisations.

This isn't a role focused on managing services. It's about designing the future of work.

You'll set the vision, strategy and roadmap for workplace experiences that empower our people to do their best work, wherever they are. You'll bring together customer-centred design, data, technology, property, operations and people strategy to create seamless experiences across every touchpoint of the employee lifecycle.

Working across senior stakeholder groups, you'll influence enterprise-wide decisions, balance long-term strategic outcomes with immediate business priorities and lead a portfolio that directly impacts employee productivity, engagement and performance.

You'll build a future-focused operating model that moves beyond reactive delivery to predictive, insight-led service design. You'll challenge conventional thinking, champion innovation and create experiences that are simple, intuitive and genuinely valued by our people.

What do I need?

Proven executive leadership experience defining and executing workplace, employee experience, service design or transformation strategies in a large, complex organisation.
A track record of creating and scaling enterprise-wide service experiences that improve productivity, engagement and organisational performance.
Exceptional ability to influence senior executives and navigate competing priorities across technology, operations, property, people and business functions.
Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with experience developing investment cases, prioritising portfolios and delivering measurable outcomes.
Deep understanding of human-centred design, customer journeys, service design methodologies and the future of work.
Demonstrated capability leading large, multi-disciplinary teams through significant change while maintaining strong governance, risk management and delivery outcomes.
