he Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for enthusiastic & motivated colleague to within our exclusive Club Lounge team in the following position:

Club Lounge Attendant

You will have the opportunity to work within the Front Office department which consists of approximately 60 colleagues . This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.

These positions are an integral part of a high performing hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include

  • Assisting the team to ensure the smooth operation of the Langham Hotel Club whilst maintaining and constantly improving the overall product.
  • Thorough knowledge of all foods and beverage items displayed on the buffet and served in the Lounge, in order to be able to accurately advise guests.
  • Provide personalised service to all guests dining and relaxing in the Langham Club.
  • Assist the guest entering and exiting the Lounge.
  • Confidently make food and beverage recommendations to guests.
  • Responsible for pre-service and post-service preparation.

Skills & Experience

For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following

Aptitude with 5 star guest service

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel or similar environment

Possess competent food & beverage, as well as Front Office skills & knowledge

Be able to engage with guests comfortably and identify their individual preferences

Immaculate presentation and grooming

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Able to work morning, afternoon or evening shifts; across seven days

Current VIC Responsible Service of Alcohol & Food Handlers & Food Allergens Certificates essential

Previous experience in a similar role is desired. Flexibility with various shifts is required.
