Summary
We are seeking motivated individuals interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing leadership with International Paper. Successful candidates will thrive in a flexible, fast-paced production environment and demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity. Opportunities are available throughout Ohio at our facilities in Delaware, Eaton, Middletown, Mt. Vernon, Streetsboro, and Wooster.
This hands-on internship provides exposure to all aspects of our manufacturing operations. Interns will spend approximately 80% of their time working alongside production teams on the manufacturing floor, learning the business from the ground up. Responsibilities include operating equipment, reading factory orders, using tools such as tape measures and gauges, applying shop math, inspecting and stacking products, completing quality and administrative documentation, and following established work procedures.
The remaining 20% of the internship will focus on leadership development. Interns will be assigned a leadership-related project to drive, execute, and present at the conclusion of the summer program. Throughout the experience, interns will partner with local leaders to develop and demonstrate key leadership competencies.
Candidates must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed. Highly qualified candidates will possess a passion for developing teams, engaging employees, and driving continuous improvement to help achieve business objectives. Preferred candidates will be those pursuing a degree in a related field such as manufacturing, operations management, engineering, paper science, business, or leadership studies.
