About The Role

  • Audit payments from commercial and workers compensation carriers for consistency with contracted fee schedule and follow up with carriers as appropriate to resolve underpayments
  • Conduct follow-up inquiries regarding missing insurance payments
  • Correct and resubmit denied claims
  • Process written appeals
  • Track denial/payment trends
  • Communicate with staff and patients to resolve payment issues
  • Answer billing questions for patients and implement solutions to remedy issues
  • Process patient credit card payments
  • Data entry
  • Verifying current personal and financial information
  • Maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records
  • Collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments
  • Faxing, filing, and performing any other duties as assigned
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Excellent in-person and phone customer service
  • Proficient in Word or Excel
  • Close attention to detail
  • Great time management and organizational skills 
  • Be available for a full-time schedule, Monday - Friday, 40 hour work week
  • Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
  • Previous experience working in a medical/physical therapy billing role is preferred but not required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $25.00-$30.00.  Pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
