In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, Global Supplier Services leadership, Legal, Finance, Cybersecurity, Compliance, Third-Party Risk, and supplier partners to execute disciplined sourcing strategies, lead competitive sourcing events, support commercial and contract considerations, and deliver recommendations aligned with business requirements, regulatory expectations, and firmwide objectives.
Job Summary
As an Associate Category Sourcing Manager, Loan Services within the Sourcing & Procurement team, you will lead category strategy, spend management, sourcing execution, supplier strategy, contract administration support, and supplier governance activities for mortgage default servicing categories. These include mortgage loan services and operations, collections, and contact center/BPO work.
You will lead business requirement development and documentation, execute sourcing strategies, identify qualified suppliers capable of meeting JPMC requirements, and manage eRFIs, eRFPs, RFQs, and eAuctions. You will lead supplier evaluation, develop sourcing options aligned to business requirements, and present recommendations to management and Global Supplier Services leadership as required.
The role will support contract and risk mitigation activities, supplier governance, and disciplined execution of sourcing initiatives. The role requires strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver sourcing projects that improve cost, quality, service delivery, risk management, and supplier performance outcomes.
Job responsibilities
Lead sourcing initiatives across mortgage default servicing categories and related loan services operations.
Perform spend analysis to identify opportunities for cost improvement, value delivery, savings, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, and process improvement.
Develop and document business requirements in partnership with internal clients, sourcing managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Develop, document, communicate, and present sourcing strategies that align supplier capabilities, market dynamics, business needs, risk considerations, and commercial objectives.
Identify qualified suppliers capable of meeting JPMC operational, commercial, regulatory, service, technology, control, and risk requirements.
Lead execution of eRFIs, eRFPs, RFQs, and eAuctions, including supplier engagement, response analysis, proposal evaluation, and sourcing recommendation development.
Lead supplier evaluation, analyze competitive offerings, and present sourcing options and recommendations aligned to business requirements while optimizing price, quality, risk, service delivery, scalability, and long-term supplier value.
Support contract and risk mitigation activities through contract drafting input, key contract structure input, obligation tracking, approval milestone management, issue escalation, supplier commitment monitoring, and adherence to risk and control requirements.
Partner with cross-functional partners and firmwide control partners to complete sourcing initiatives in accordance with firmwide policies, control requirements, and business timelines.
Manage supplier governance activities, including supplier due diligence, performance management, scorecards, business reviews, corrective actions, renewals, amendments, governance, and offboarding as needed.
Maintain stakeholder-ready reporting, including dashboards, category summaries, sourcing status updates, executive updates, meeting notes, trackers, supplier records, and contract repositories.
Manage projects across a diverse sourcing portfolio, including goods, professional services, software licensing, mortgage default servicing, and adjacent business services categories.
Deliver sourcing projects across categories with an emphasis on service quality, value delivery, competitive pricing, and appropriate risk and control outcomes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent related experience where appropriate.
7 to 10 years of related experience managing or supporting category strategy, sourcing, procurement, spend management, supplier management, contracting, or related functions, ideally within a large global institution.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare stakeholder-ready materials and present sourcing strategies, options, and recommendations.
Bias for action with a proven track record of execution, ownership, accountability, and measurable results.
Strong listening skills and a client-focused approach, with the ability to facilitate the success of internal line-of-business clients and translate business needs into sourcing actions.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities, complex stakeholder groups, and time-sensitive deadlines.
Knowledge of key aspects of competitive bid processes, supplier proposal evaluation, and general sourcing practices.
Ability to apply broad strategic thinking to complex problems involving commercial, operational, supplier, contract, regulatory, and risk considerations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience working with spend, pricing, supplier performance, contract, SLA, KPI, and market data.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to use AI tools responsibly to enhance work quality, streamline sourcing activities, and improve process efficiency.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners, firmwide control partners, business stakeholders, and supplier representatives.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience supporting or leading sourcing, procurement, supplier management, contract management, or category management activities within financial services or mortgage servicing operations.
Exposure to mortgage default servicing categories or related loan services operations.
Project management experience or training, particularly in complex sourcing initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, approval milestones, and cross-functional dependencies.
Baseline understanding of key contract structures, commercial terms, supplier obligations, and contract risk mitigation levers.
Experience preparing executive-ready sourcing materials, including sourcing strategies, category summaries, executive updates, and sourcing status reports.
Experience with supplier due diligence, supplier governance, performance reporting, renewals, amendments, approvals, savings, cost avoidance, and risk mitigation outcomes.
