JOB DESCRIPTION
You will help to build our expertise and guarantee the quality of delivery to ensure market-leading practices for our Hong Kong office, taking into account the global nature of our organisation and our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to engagements with leading financial institutions including banks, securities firms, private equity and insurance companies
- Deliver high‑quality client engagements, taking ownership of workstreams and deliverables while meeting agreed timelines and budget expectations
- Support the delivery of regulatory and risk consulting engagements, including AML/KYC reviews, regulatory compliance assessments, risk assessments, internal control reviews and enhancements, policy and procedure development, governance framework design, licensing applications, and broader risk and compliance advisory projects.
- Participate in business development initiatives, including thought leadership, proposal development, and client presentations
- Share consulting best practices and contribute to the continuous development of the team
Specific areas of expertise
Ideally, you would have advisory experience in one or more of these areas
- Regulatory compliance review and advisory in HKMA, SFC and / or IA regulations
- Financial crime compliance – AML, Fraud, Sanctions
- Market conduct and Consumer protection
- Data privacy (e.g. PDPO, GDPR, PIPL) and Information security
- Operational risk and Resilience
- Outsourcing and Third party risk management
- Adoption of AI for compliance automation and/or RegTech
Key Requirements
- University graduate or above in accounting, business, finance or related disciplines.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in risk and regulatory compliance within a reputable consulting firm. Those with less experience could be considered for consultant level.
- Holder of professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, FRM, CAMS, CISA , CIA and/or other related qualification is an advantage.
- Familiar with HKMA, SFC and / or IA regulations
- Sound knowledge of banking, investment, and securities products would be an advantage.
- Good project management and stakeholder management skills
- Strong interpersonal, logical and analytical skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Cantonese is a must. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
