About The Role

Honeywell is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer II to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and Java , experience with cloud technologies, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products that support Honeywell's digital transformation initiatives.

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Python and Java .
Build scalable APIs, microservices, and backend systems.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement technical solutions.
Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
Develop automated unit, integration, and performance tests.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers when required.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
3-6 years of software development experience.
Strong programming skills in Python and Java .
Experience with object-oriented design principles and software engineering best practices.
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
Proficiency in Git-based source control systems.
Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of software testing frameworks and debugging tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure , or Google Cloud Platform .
Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes .
Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Experience with data processing, analytics, or machine learning applications is a plus.
