Job Summary
Medline is seeking a Manager – Network Operations for its Pune office to lead enterprise network operations while driving integration of cloud networking and infrastructure services.
This role combines core network operations leadership with modern cloud-first networking practices, supporting hybrid environments across on-premise and cloud platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Network Operations & Engineering
- Own end-to-end network operations across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and data center networks
- Design, implement, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure network infrastructure
- Lead troubleshooting of complex network issues and major incident management
- Drive continuous improvements in network performance, QoS, and reliability
Cloud Networking & Hybrid Infrastructure
- Design and manage hybrid network architectures integrating on-premise with AWS/Azure/GCP environments
- Implement and manage cloud networking components (VPC/VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect, load balancers, firewalls)
- Partner with cloud and platform teams to support cloud workload migrations and deployments
- Ensure seamless connectivity, security, and performance across hybrid workloads
Governance, Security & Compliance
- Establish, document, and enforce network standards, SOPs, and architectural guidelines
- Ensure network security through policy enforcement, segmentation, and access controls
- Drive compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead disaster recovery planning and network resiliency strategies
Operations & Service Management
- Own SLA performance, vendor management, and service delivery metrics
- Implement ITIL-aligned processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management)
- Monitor and report network health, capacity, and utilization trends
- Collaborate with enterprise IT teams to resolve cross-functional issues
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing network operations team
- Collaborate with enterprise architects on long-term network and cloud strategy
- Identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and cost optimization
- Drive adoption of software-defined networking and cloud-first principles
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Core Networking
- 10–15 years of experience in network infrastructure with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Cisco routing & switching
- Data center networking
- WAN technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN)
- Wireless networking
Cloud & Modern Infrastructure (Key Enhancement)
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS / Azure / GCP networking services
- Strong understanding of:
- Hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute)
- Cloud-native security controls and network design patterns
- Supporting cloud-hosted applications and workloads
Additional Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience in network automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform – preferred)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools and observability platforms
- ITIL process familiarity
QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Experience in global/multi-site organizations (healthcare domain is a plus)
