As a Risk Management & Contract Negotiation - Manager, you will play a pivotal role in helping organizations navigate complex regulatory landscapes and enhance their internal controls to mitigate risks effectively. Within our Internal Firm Services practice, you will focus on identifying and mitigating potential risks that could impact an organization's operations and objectives. You will be responsible for developing business strategies to manage and navigate risks in a rapidly changing business environment.
As a Manager, you will lead teams, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for the execution of project success and maintaining standards. Enhancing your leadership style, you motivate, develop, and inspire others to deliver quality. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team members' unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on expectations. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. You will also address conflicts or issues, engaging in difficult conversations with clients, team members, and other stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing risk management strategies to navigate complex regulatory landscapes
- Leading contract negotiation processes to mitigate contractual risks effectively
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to enhance risk management frameworks
- Utilizing risk management standards to identify and address potential risks impacting organizational objectives
- Guiding teams in strategic planning and execution of risk mitigation initiatives
- Analyzing system components to identify linkages and interactions for improved risk management
- Taking ownership of projects, focusing on planning, budgeting, execution, and completion
- Mentoring team members to deepen their skills and encourage growth beyond comfort zones
- Engaging in difficult conversations with stakeholders to address conflicts and issues
- Upholding professional and technical standards, including adherence to the firm's code of conduct and independence requirements
- Performing first-pass redlines, clause comparisons, deviation logging, and playbook-driven reviews of client paper.
-Own internal turnaround-time SLAs across the tiered contracting model (complex / moderate complexity / simple) and run the daily operating rhythm with US Risk Management Senior Managers and Directors.
- Coordinate contract drafting and enable alignment (in consultation with US Risk Management Senior Managers and Directors) with business and delivery teams.
- Enable contract repository hygiene, clause library, deviation register, and reporting.
- Work with Risk Management Senior Managers and Directors, delivery teams, Contracting Center of Excellence, and Office of General Counsel to create obligations, and risk/mitigation/internal controls trackers and summaries for the delivery team to be aware of risks, mitigation strategies and be contractually compliant.
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree (Law).
- 8-13 years of progressive experience in commercial contracting, CLM operations, legal operations, or outsourcing / GCC / IT services contract management.
