Personal Care Worker

It is a requirement for our community roles all staff possess a reliable vehicle, valid Australian driver licence and be willing to travel throughout the Mt Warren, Waterford, Rochedale South and surrounding regions visiting clients in their own homes.

About the role

Our Domestic Assistant's provide assistance to our Home Care clients, ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their health, happiness, independence, interests and choices.

These include

• Meal preparation, bed making, dusting and wiping, spot cleaning of customer homes including but not limited to cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, cleaning toilets, cleaning windows, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floor
• Occasionally transporting clients for outings / appointments / shopping and respite.
• Ability to identify and promptly report changes in the client’s condition to your team leader.
• Communicate in a timely, appropriate and effective manner that is conducive to effective teamwork with colleagues
• Complete all documentation in a timely and accurate manner

To be successful, you will have

• Experience in Aged Care or similar field i.e. Cleaning/ Housekeeping
• Availability to work various shifts across various days including Mondays and Fridays
• Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
• Police Check (valid within the last 3 years or willing to obtain)
• Australian drivers licence
• Own reliable vehicle for work use
