Activities Assistant-Part time

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities and resident engagement throughout the community
• Encourage residents to attend and participate in programs through room visits and friendly reminders
• Provide support during group activities so residents feel included and successful
• Lead simple small-group or one-on-one programs for residents who benefit from a more personalized approach
• Work with the Activities Director and Nursing team to identify residents who may benefit from additional engagement
• Support a positive, caring, and welcoming environment for residents

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an Activities Assistant, Activity Aide, CNA, caregiver, or similar role in senior living, assisted living, or memory care is strongly preferred
• Experience working with residents with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory loss, or other cognitive changes preferred
• Dementia care certification preferred, such as Certified Dementia Practitioner, but not required
• Patient, compassionate, dependable, and comfortable engaging residents one-on-one and in small groups
• Ability to work well with the Activities Director, Nursing team, and other community staff

Shift

• Monday-Thursday 12:30 pm-5:30 pm and Friday 10:00 am -3PM
