About The Role

Basic Qualifications

  • 1.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • 2.
  • On-the-job training is applicable.
  • 3.
  • Must be capable of bending, and stooping.
  • 4.
  • Lifting/moving 25+ lbs.
  • 5.
  • Must be courteous to public and county employees. Safe guard cleaner areas to prevent slips, trips and falls.
  • 6.
  • MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS AND AFTER HOURS. Normal hours are 5am to 2pm, but occasionally work to 5pm when needed.
  • 7.
  • Considerable experience in custodial work. Safe handling and labeling of cleaning products.
  • 8.
  • Must be knowledgeable in process of stripping, waxing, and burnishing floors (knowledge of Terrazzo and Fritz tile a plus.

Examples of Job Duties

  • 1.
  • Work with crews sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing assigned areas and floors. Dust and polish furniture. Empty wastebaskets and vacuums floors.
  • 2.
  • Replaces burned out light bulbs and keep restrooms clean and sanitary.
  • 3.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • 4.
  • Have good communication skills and maintain professionalism with employees and courthouse visitors.
  • 5.
  • $30,467.00 annually
