Purpose

For the summer semester McCombs School of Business is looking for an organized, motivated, and dependable Teaching Assistant.

The Teaching Assistant will provide essential support to the Joe Sagrilla by assisting with a variety of tasks, contributing to the smooth operation in and out of the classroom. Responsibilities can be found below.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and maintenance of Canvas page for class
  • Evaluate student work and grade assignments
  • Exam and homework preparation
  • Attendance recording

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a University of Texas at Austin student, enrolled for at least 3 credit hours during any session of the summer semester. Exceptions will not be made by the graduate school.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Business background (educational or experience) with strong business acumen preferred
  • Business strategy knowledge (concepts, frameworks, tools, models) a plus
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to assess the writing of others and provide feedback
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Monthly Rate

  • $1,821.05

Working Conditions

  • Work performed in standard office conditions.
  • Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.

Schedule Work Shift

  • 20 hours per week
  • Position ends on 08/22/2025
