Job Summary

A Guest Services role in a long-term care facility focuses on creating a positive and welcoming environment for residents, their families, and other visitors. This position typically involves a blend of customer service, administrative support, and coordination tasks to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for everyone entering the facility.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Warmly greeting and assisting residents, families, and visitors, including providing directions and answering inquiries.
  • Ensuring visitors adhere to facility policies and procedures, including signing in/out and coordinating with staff to prepare rooms for new residents and facilitating their smooth arrival.
  • Assisting with the admissions process, including inquiries, paperwork, and explaining billing and facility procedures.
  • Conducting facility tours for prospective residents and their families.
  • Facilitating introductions to caregivers and other departments.
  • Conducting post-admission satisfaction surveys and addressing initial questions or concerns.
  • Providing regular check-ins during the initial weeks of a resident's stay to ensure satisfaction.
  • wearing identification badges.
  • Answering phones, managing resident call lists, and redirecting calls appropriately.
  • Responding to general questions and concerns, providing information about facility services, and making recommendations.
  • Documenting and escalating feedback and issues to ensure timely resolution.
  • Handling and distributing mail and packages.
  • Scheduling appointments for residents with medical staff or other professionals.
  • Reporting any changes in a resident's condition or behavior to the appropriate medical staff.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensuring the reception area is clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Being prepared to handle emergency situations, such as contacting emergency services or notifying appropriate staff.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in a clerical position in healthcare setting.
  • Must maintain and have active CPR/BLS during employment
  • Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents
