Job Summary

Infios is looking for a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer to join our Order Management Systems (OMS) product engineering team. In this role, you will design and build cloud-native, enterprise-grade software that powers some of the world's leading retailers.

You will work on highly scalable microservices supporting Order Management, Inventory Visibility, Available-to-Promise (ATP), Promising, and Fulfillment capabilities. As a senior technical contributor, you will lead the design and implementation of complex features, mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and drive engineering excellence across the organization.

We are looking for engineers who embrace AI-assisted software engineering and leverage modern AI tools to improve software quality, engineering productivity, and delivery velocity.

What a Day in The Life Looks Like

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build enterprise-grade capabilities across:
• Order Management
• Inventory Services
• Available-to-Promise (ATP)
• Promising
• Fulfillment and Order Orchestration
• Design clean, secure, and scalable REST APIs and event-driven services.
• Develop highly configurable, extensible solutions that support multiple enterprise customers without customer-specific customizations.
• Ensure solutions maintain backward compatibility while enabling rapid product innovation.
• Build software that is resilient, observable, performant, and easy to operate in production.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices across teams.
• Work closely with Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Customer Success teams.
• Drive quality through automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and secure software development practices.
• Apply AI throughout the software development lifecycle, including software design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.

What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex technical solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Java (11/17+) and Spring Boot.
• Solid experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience building distributed, cloud-native applications deployed on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Experience with MongoDB and/or relational databases.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented design, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile product development environments.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise Order Management, Inventory Management, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, or eCommerce applications.
• Understanding of Order Orchestration, Inventory Visibility, Available-to-Promise (ATP), Promising, and Omnichannel Fulfillment concepts.
• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS products serving multiple enterprise customers.
• Experience designing highly configurable platforms that minimize customer-specific customizations.
• Experience maintaining API and data model backward compatibility across releases.
• Knowledge of observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or Splunk.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Experience working with high-volume, mission-critical enterprise applications.

AI-Assisted Software Engineering

We expect our engineers to effectively leverage AI as part of their daily engineering workflow.

Candidates should have practical experience using AI tools to

• Debug production issues
