About The Role
CMP Co-VPs Mentorship are responsible for building and running the core peer connection infrastructure of CMP Home Base, including buddy pairings, peer pods, the anonymous question channel, and the First-Year Survival Guide.
Note: You do not need to co-apply with another applicant.
Time Commitment
4 - 6 hours/week

July 2026 - April 2027
Main Responsibilities

- Recruit, vet, and onboard 25–40 upper-year big siblings and peer pod facilitators from CMP's volunteer base
- -
- Coordinate buddy pairings between first-year students and upper-year big siblings at the start of each semester
- -
- Organize and facilitate peer pod formations based on shared interests, intended specialization, or background
- -
- Manage and moderate the anonymous question channel, ensuring timely and thoughtful responses from upper-year volunteers
- -
- Oversee the annual update of the First-Year Survival Guide, recruiting student writers and maintaining an authentic, human voice
- -
- Track participation and connection quality across the program and flag areas for improvement
- -
- Play a central role in steering CMP's transition from academic services to peer mentorship and belonging

- Genuine passion for student belonging and peer-to-peer connection

- Strong interpersonal and relationship-management skills
- -
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working with large volunteer networks
- -
- Empathetic communicator who can represent CMP's values in every interaction
- -
- Experience in mentorship, student leadership, or community-building is a strong asset
