Your Role at Cabot
As a Category Buyer, you will support the development and execution of procurement strategies for assigned categories, helping to ensure the availability of goods and services while delivering value to the business. Working closely with Category Managers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will contribute to sourcing, contract management, supplier performance, and continuous improvement initiatives that optimize cost, quality, service, risk, and sustainability.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Support the development and execution of category and sourcing strategies.
- Analyze spend, demand, pricing, and market trends to identify cost-saving and value-creation opportunities.
- Lead and support sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluation, and negotiations.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers while supporting contract implementation.
- Monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers and stakeholders to drive improvements.
- Track savings and support sustainability, innovation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports and collaborate with business partners to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Work closely with Procurement Operations to support purchase order execution and supplier follow-up.
What You Will Bring to Cabot
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–3 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Purchasing.
- Experience with sourcing activities, supplier management, and contract negotiations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret spend, supplier, and market data.
- Good negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems and procurement platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar).
- Understanding of procurement processes, RFx activities, and supplier risk management.
- Well-organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Additional Information
- Working Hours: 9:00 - 17:30.
- Permanent contract.
- Salary: 1900 - 2600 EUR Gross.
- Health insurance from first day of work.
- Monthly allowance & Yearly bonus.
- Hybrid work schedule (3 days on site and 2 days’ work from home).
