Job Summary
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing Triquetra Health's accounting operations to
- ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role manages financial
- records, reconciliations, reporting, and internal controls while supporting leadership with
- financial insights to guide strategic decision-making.
- Triquetra Health is currently transitioning to Sage Intacct, and the Senior Accountant will play an
- active role in the implementation and ongoing optimization. Beyond day-to-day accounting, this
- role owns the company's cash flow forecasting and partners with leadership on complex
- financial models supporting budgeting, scenario planning, and strategic decisions.
Role Description
- The Senior Accountant ensures the integrity of Triquetra's financial records and reporting. The
- role focuses on reconciliations, compliance, financial analysis, and process improvements to
- support operational transparency and informed decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with accounting standards and
company policies.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and
cash flow reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing and collection.
- Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, reporting requirements, and audit standards.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with financial analysis.
- Build, maintain, and own a rolling cash flow forecast to inform liquidity decisions.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for budgeting, scenario planning, and
strategic decision-making.
- Partner with the Senior Finance Manager and leadership on the Sage Intacct
implementation, including data migration, chart of accounts design, and process redesign.
- Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations to optimize liquidity.
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Own end-to-end inventory and cost accounting, including COGS, landed cost, inventory
valuation, and marketplace settlement reconciliation across Shopify and Amazon (via A2X).
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and leadership to ensure accurate financial
tracking of inventory and production costs.
- Own the monthly close process and deliver financial statements within a 7-business-day
close timeline.
- Assist with audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger ownership and
month-end close.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
- Hands-on experience with a cloud ERP / accounting system (Sage Intacct, NetSuite,
Xero, or similar).
- Demonstrated experience building financial models, rolling forecasts, and cash flow
projections.
- Demonstrated experience preparing financial statements and performing account
reconciliations.
- Inventory and cost accounting experience in a physical product or DTC ecommerce
environment, including COGS, landed cost, and inventory valuation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fully remote environment.
Preferred
- Direct experience with Sage Intacct, especially with implementation, migration, or rollout
projects.
- FP&A or finance business-partnering background, including scenario planning and
strategic modeling.
- Ecommerce / DTC accounting experience, particularly with Shopify, Amazon Seller
Central, and marketplace settlement reconciliation via A2X or similar tools.
- Sales tax / multi-state nexus experience in a DTC ecommerce context.
- Experience in consumer health, CPG, or product-based businesses with inventory and
production cost accounting.
- Experience supporting external audits and implementing internal control improvements.
- Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting experience.
Deliverables
- Financial Statements: P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports — delivered within 7
business days of period end (Monthly)
- Account Reconciliation: Bank, credit card, and ledger reconciliations (Monthly)
- AP/AR Monitoring: Payment processing and receivables tracking (Ongoing)
- Budget, Forecasts & Financial Models: Rolling forecasts, complex scenario models, and
ad-hoc financial analysis (Monthly)
- Cash Flow Forecast: Rolling cash flow forecast with liquidity recommendations (Weekly
and monthly)
- Audit Support Files: Documentation for audits and compliance reviews (As needed)
- Internal Control Improvements: Process enhancements and risk mitigation (Ongoing)
First 90 days
- Days 1–30 — Onboarding & current-state assessment:
- Review existing accounting systems, processes, and historical financial records.
- Establish a reconciliation baseline across bank, credit card, and ledger accounts.
- Meet with the Senior Finance Manager, operations, and leadership to understand priorities.
Days 31–60 — Controls & ownership
- Complete an internal controls assessment and identify process improvements.
- Assume ownership of recurring reconciliations and routine financial reporting.
- Engage on the Sage Intacct implementation roadmap and migration planning.
Days 61–90 — Drive cadence & strategic deliverables
- Own the monthly close and deliver the first full financial review under your leadership
within the 7-business-day target close timeline.
- Stand up the budgeting and forecasting framework, including the rolling cash flow forecast.
- Actively contribute to the Sage Intacct rollout (chart of accounts, data migration, workflows).
Beyond 90 days
- Ongoing financial oversight, continuous process improvement, and ownership of
strategic financial models and analyses.

- across both the legacy and new systems during the migration.
