Position Reports to: Facilities Manager, Building Maintenance Lead

Positions Reporting to this Role: None

Location: Crystal Mountain , Washington

Pay Rate: 24.00-26.00 / hr DOE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES-

The Grounds & Facilities Laborer is responsible for the clean appearance of the base area and will perform regular patrols to ensure that it is properly cared for. Duties include, but are not limited to:

General Lodge Maintenance

  • Moving patio furniture and fire pits to various locations
  • Maintaining the appearance of outdoor spaces like decks, patios, walkways
  • Pick up garbage laying around and ensure its put in the right area

Snow Removal Operations

  • Clearing snow from walkways, steps, and parking areas by shoveling snow
  • Operating snow blowers to remove larger amounts of snow
  • Spreading ice melt on slippery surfaces
  • Monitoring weather conditions and preparing for snowstorms

Safety and Compliance

  • Adhering to all safety protocols related to snow removal equipment
  • Reporting any hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Required skills and qualifications

  • Must ski or snowboard at an intermediate ability
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor like shoveling snow for extended periods of time
  • Ability to operate snow removal equipment like snow blowers
  • Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
  • Customer service skills to interact with guests in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including during snowstorms, weekends, and holidays

Other duties as assigned.

Seasonal employment

  • This role may be primarily seasonal, with the majority of work occurring during winter months.
