Your Opportunity
Taylor Print & Visual Impressions is looking for an Equipment Operator (Zund Cutter) for our 2nd shift in Las Vegas, NV .
Work Authorization

The Zünd Cutting Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining digital cutting equipment (Zünd or similar) used in the finishing process of printed materials. This role includes setup, calibration, and operation of cutting systems to meet production specifications. The operator ensures quality, accuracy, and efficiency while adhering to safety and production guidelines.
Your Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Zünd digital cutting equipment according to job specifications.
- Load and align materials accurately on the cutting bed.
- Interpret job tickets, CAD files, and production layouts to ensure accurate cuts.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of cutting equipment.
- Monitor output for quality and consistency; make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with prepress and production teams to ensure timely job completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Assist in other production areas as needed.
Your Shift: The work schedule for 2nd shift is 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional night/weekend work may be required based on emergent or critical business needs.
You Must Have
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- High attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital file formats (PDF, DXF, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and production layouts.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes.
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members.
- Ability to be reliable and dependable to meet critical deadlines.
Requirements Within This Position
- Ability to stand or walk for 8 hours while using hands or fingers to hold, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands; use legs and feet to support items being handled.
- Ability to turn, twist, or move their torso at the waist or knees.
- Ability to lift or move up to 15 pounds on a consistent basis and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to operate a manual pallet jack and push or pull carts.
- Ability to use basic hand tools, such as putty knives, box openers, scissors, and deburring tools.
- Ability to work around moderate noise levels with ear plugs available if needed.
- Ability to change cutter heads and cutting tools when regularly working/exposed to moving parts.
- Ability to work alone on a computer or using multiple computers in sequence, talking to support technicians, and collaborating with other team members on location or working remotely.
We Would Also Prefer
- Experience operating Zünd or similar digital cutting systems.
- Familiarity with RIP software and nesting tools.
- Knowledge of materials used in large-format printing and finishing.
- Good color vision and ability to discern fine details
- Proficiency speaking Spanish is a plus
