About The Role

We are looking for passionate Public Are Attendant to work in Sudima Queenstown Five Mile Hotel

The Public Areas Attendant will consistently provide exceptional level of service that exceeds the expectations of our guests. Whilst the below duties are specific to the role, it would be expected that on occasion, you would work in other departments.

Responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas of the Hotel are clean ensuring the Hotel is maintained to a high standard at all times. Sudima Hotel employees are here to ensure our guests make the most of their stay. We have one passion. This is a full time permanent position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. This role pays $25.50 per hour.

Requirements

  • Responsible for cleaning all back of house areas.
  • Clean and maintain well-presented front of house public areas including the gym.
  • Carry out extra duties and special cleaning as directed.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeping Manager/Supervisors.
  • To provide a warm, friendly welcome whenever you contact a guest and assist with directions if needed. To carry out work in a manner least affecting guests.
  • To ensure and maintain the security of the personal information of guests and team members of the hotel. Report all items of value left by guests and submit to lost & found with information of room number and location found.
  • Clean and service guest rooms and public areas according to the hotel’s standards and procedures, and use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to H&S regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat attitude when communicating with co-workers and management.

  • A minimum of 3 months experience in a similar role
  • Available to work a minimum of 30 hours flexibly across a rostered working week (Including weekends and public holidays)
  • Takes pride in work and has exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, spot and resolve problems efficiently
  • Willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests make the most of their day
  • Exceptional grooming and hygiene standards
  • Valid Right to Work in NZ
