About The Role

The Director, Product Pricing will lead the Product Pricing team and oversee product pricing initiatives and experience monitoring to support sustainable business performance. In this role, you will provide actuarial leadership, translate experience data into actionable recommendations, and bring together stakeholders across Product, Claims, Distribution, Sales and Marketing, Legal, Operations, Risk Management, and Actuarial. You will also guide product approval discussions with Corporate, Regional, and regulatory stakeholders. This opportunity provides broad exposure to business decision-making while enabling you to develop a high-performing team and shape product pricing outcomes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Product Pricing team, setting priorities and supporting effective performance and career development.
  • Oversee the overall experience monitoring and management process, working closely with Claims, Distribution, Actuarial, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present monthly experience monitoring updates for committee meetings, provide recommendations, and oversee agreed follow-up actions.
  • Lead working-group discussions to develop a shared understanding of underlying issues, evaluate potential solutions, and align stakeholders on the way forward.
  • Lead product pricing projects from analysis through recommendation, presenting pricing proposals clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide actuarial and pricing input to the Product team on product design and related initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing, Legal, Operations, Risk Management, and other relevant functions to support product development and implementation.
  • Support product approval discussions and negotiations with Corporate, Regional, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Allocate work across the team and promote high-quality, timely delivery of pricing and experience-monitoring priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified or near-qualified actuary.
  • At least 10 years of relevant working experience.
  • Proven technical and analytical capabilities.
  • Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including the ability to coach, develop, and guide team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and build alignment around business issues and proposed solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading product pricing projects.
  • Experience in product experience monitoring and translating findings into business recommendations.
  • Experience presenting recommendations to committees or senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Product, Distribution, Claims, Risk Management, Legal, Operations, Sales, and Marketing teams.
  • Experience supporting product approval discussions with Corporate, Regional, or regulatory stakeholders.
