About The Role

Primary Function of Position

  • The Endoluminal Director, Commercial Distribution is responsible for the strategic growth and operational
  • excellence of the distributor network within assigned geographies. This leadership role involves building and
  • developing a high-performing manager team, mastering the commercial and clinical aspects of robotic
  • bronchoscopy, and fostering deep partnerships with both distributors and end-customers to expand the impact of
  • Intuitive’s technology.

Roles and Responsibilities

This position has responsibility and authority for

  • Hire, train, and develop high-performing Commercial Distribution and Market Development Manager teams
  • Develop comprehensive business plans, including quarterly system and procedure forecasts, to consistently deliver organizational targets
  • Lead quarterly business reviews to ensure strategic alignment, achieve annual goals, manage operational budgets and P&L with strict ethical standards
  • Conduct field rides with distributor representatives to provide coaching, understand market dynamics, and drive technology adoption
  • Developing a network of Key Opinion Leading physicians in the field of Interventional Pulmonology, Advanced Bronchoscopy and Thoracic Surgery
  • Develop regional market access strategies to accelerate the adoption of endoluminal robotic applications
  • Build a positive company image and increase market acceptance by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees
  • Accountability for the revenue and expenses directly attributable to the business
  • Interact and communicate on a regular basis with regional and global commercial leadership
  • Ability to travel up to 70%

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in senior-level healthcare sales and marketing and 2+ years of experience in distribution network management
  • Regional travel to include international trips as needed
  • Proven track record in hiring, leading, motivating and developing a high achieving sales force in a fast growing organization
  • Ability to understand trends, technology and opportunities across the market, and then convert that knowledge into activities that increase business success
  • Ability to build professional business relationships at various levels of physician leadership, hospital leadership, and government healthcare administration bodies
  • Experience with capital equipment sales with strongly preferred, supporting transactions >1M USD per transaction
  • Clinical acumen in lung health specialties is preferred
  • Microsoft Office expertise
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required

business need and/or on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills.

Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the

candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
