Job Description Summary
The Requisition Engineer will provide accurate and timely overall technical project management of Generator CMU (conversions, modifications, and upgrades) projects which meet GE Vernova design and experience in support of services activities while achieving leadership in reliability and customer service.
In this role, the Requisition Engineer is responsible for the delivery of technical documentation and the coordination of the engineering function throughout a project from receipt of order to remittance. To succeed, the requisition engineer must interact actively with other teams such as Design Engineering, Sales, Project Management, Field Services and Supply chain.
Job Description
The requisition engineer is part of a global Gas Plant Services Engineering team caring for timely preparation of technical competitive proposals and providing accurate and timely overall technical project management of generator orders which meet GE Vernova design and experience. These projects are applied to GE Vernova’s own installed base fleet as well as other OEM fleet technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for successful execution of the engineering and related downstream activities for the overall CM&U order/project. Examples of CMU Projects include Stator Rewinds, Replacement Fields, Field Rewinds, Exchange Rotors, and full Generator Replacements.
- Utilize standardized tools and process to set up project structure within different GE Vernova systems.
- Create and coordinate the overall engineering and drafting deliverable schedule using Enovia PLM software. Manage changes over the lifecycle of the project to ensure timely delivery to support parts delivery, outage activities, or other downstream work.
- Ensure timely demand placement of parts designed and defined by engineering teams.
- Provide appropriate solutions to developing technical issues arising during generator CM&U project.
- Write Field Service Instructions (FSI) or Field Modification Instruction (FMI) documentation
- Integrate with Project Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Sourcing, Vendors, Service Shops and other teams as necessary to ensure a successful project.
- Keep attention to the overall project schedule and budgeted hours. Address and correct deviations as they arise.
- Support other team members both domestically and globally.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to technical inquiries using technical files (such as Design Data, Previous Reports, etc.), personal experience/knowledge and information from other technical experts as necessary.
- Complete project closeout activities including gathering feedback and data to support continuous improvement.
- Lead process improvement projects when assigned. Engage in continuing education/training using resources provided.
- Support customer meetings, State of the Art Conferences, GE Vernova and Industry conferences when requested.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an engineering discipline
- 5 years experience in engineering or 3 years experience with a masters degree in engineering.
- At least 2 years experience in either heavy duty gas turbine/steam turbine generator technology or equivalent.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $98,400 and $164,000. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus
