Reporting to the Production Manager, you will support a range of upstream and downstream manufacturing activities while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, documentation and operational excellence. This is an excellent junior-level opportunity for a scientifically qualified professional who is eager to develop their manufacturing experience in a regulated production environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing operations through media and buffer preparation, chromatography, ultrafiltration, membrane filtration and rotary evaporation techniques.
  • Assist with the scale-up of manufacturing processes from laboratory to pilot production scale, following approved procedures and agreed timelines.
  • Maintain accurate production records, analyse process yields and support the preparation and updating of batch manufacturing records and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Work in full accordance with Health & Safety, Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Assurance requirements, promptly escalating any issues to the appropriate manager or EHS representative.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives, including support for investigations, CAPAs and internal audits.

Job Requirements

  • A degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Scientific knowledge of upstream and downstream processing, with strong laboratory skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in one or more relevant manufacturing or production activities is advantageous; however, applicants at an early stage of their career are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain clear, accurate and complete documentation.
  • Good organisational, problem-solving and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively to meet production timelines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and eligibility to work in Ireland.

What We Offer

  • A standard benefits package.
  • The opportunity to build practical experience across laboratory, pilot-scale and manufacturing operations.
  • Exposure to quality-focused processes, continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality Control, Health & Safety, Stock and site leadership teams.
  • A supportive environment where proactive, detail-oriented team members can develop their technical and professional capabilities.

If you are a motivated science graduate or early-career manufacturing professional looking to develop your expertise in a hands-on production role, we'd love to hear from you. Join our team and contribute to the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of high-quality products.
