We’re currently looking for a Category Buyer, Traded Goods for our Guangzhou plant. In this position, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of traded goods to ensure optimal quality, cost, and supplier performance.

You will report to Regional Category Manager, Traded Goods, North Asia and be part of the Sourcing Team. The role also works closely with Operations Team and Commercial Team.

Where you’ll be

You will be located at our Guangzhou plant in Guangzhou, China and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Supplier development and management
  • Develop, screen, evaluate, and integrate high-quality domestic factory suppliers based on the demand for purchased products
  • Establish supplier swimming pool, set up hierarchical management system, maintain long-term stable cooperative relationships, continuously optimize, and maintain competitiveness
  1. Quickly respond to price inquiries, tender, proceed price comparisons, bargaining, and cost control
  2. Establish product price database, supplier database, delivery time database, etc., conduct data analysis, formulate and implement procurement plans and strategies, and cooperate with the company's management goals of cost reduction, quality improvement, and speed up
  3. Multi departmental coordination, cooperation, and communication.
  4. New product and new supplier order management support

What you’ll bring to the role

  1. College degree or above, with 8+ years of experience and basic English skills.
  2. Knowledge of international procurement, supplier development, cost analysis, negotiation, and quality control.
  3. Detail-oriented, strong execution, able to work under pressure and handle suppliers independently.
  4. Experience in food packaging or foreign trade companies preferred.
  5. Willing to travel and with strong professionalism.
