Cash Applications Specialist

About the Roles

The Cash Applications Specialist is responsible for applying customer payments accurately to customer accounts and supporting the efficient management of cash application activities. This role works closely with Credit & Collections, Finance, and other internal teams to resolve payment-related issues, ensure accurate account balances, and maintain compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Apply incoming customer payments accurately and timely to customer accounts.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and unapplied cash.
• Process account adjustments, transfers, reversals, and write-offs.
• Perform account reconciliations and support payment inquiries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve account-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records and support reporting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Support process improvements and other assigned projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Fluent English (written and verbal) required.
• Experience in Cash Application, Accounts Receivable, or a related finance function.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
