ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on finance working student position embedded directly within the Finance & People team of a Series B EdTech platform. You'll work closely alongside the Director of Finance & People to keep core financial processes running smoothly while helping to build AI-powered workflows and intelligent dashboards that strengthen the company's financial infrastructure.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Support day-to-day finance operations and keep cross-functional topics moving in partnership with the Director of Finance & People.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and coordinate with external auditors.
Help ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Prepare monthly reports, maintain trackers, and handle ad hoc data pulls and analyses as part of operational controlling.
Identify and pilot opportunities to automate manual finance workflows using AI tools, low-code platforms, and smart integrations.
Support coordination with tax advisors, auditors, and legal providers.
Act as a bridge between Finance & People and teams such as Growth and Engineering.
Contribute to building intelligent dashboards and KPI trackers that form the foundation of a digital finance backbone.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Available for approximately 20 hours per week with a preferred commitment of 6–12 months.
Strong analytical skills and solid Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
Comfortable using AI tools daily and eager to automate workflows; familiarity with low-code platforms is a plus.
Basic understanding of German accounting practices is a plus; curiosity about IFRS is welcome.
Fluent in German (written and spoken); strong English proficiency is also required.
Proactive, self-driven, and pragmatic — a builder mentality with enthusiasm for working directly with leadership.
Prior internship or working student experience in finance, consulting, or a high-growth startup is a plus, but not required.
Must be eligible to work in Germany without visa sponsorship.
